I was NOT expecting this when I booked a whale watching tour…

I’ve never seen something like this before!? Sure, I’ve seen them do this in videos/shows when I was little but they were captured dolphins. I had no idea that dolphins actually do these playful things/tricks out in the wild, naturally!? Did you!?

If you want to go see whales (and possibly dolphins!), I def recommend coming to Hawaii to see them! More than 8,000 humpback whales travel over 3,500 miles to Hawaii to breed, calf, nurse their young!!

It’s definitely a sight to see!

Tips:
- Time of year: December - March
- Where: Big Island or Maui, Hawaii
- Bring: binoculars, sunscreen, hat, motion sickness meds, camera, water
- Company: choose a company that guarantees a whale sighting. I loved @bodyglovehawaii and def recommend them! They were phenomenal! A+ experience and service!
- Sit: if you can, sit outside in the front downstairs for the best views!

3 long and painful years. 1096 days without you.

Yesterday marked 3 years since I lost my dad, my best friend, my hero, my everything. He was my world.

This past year was the hardest year. I never knew losing someone you love could be so painful. There’s been many times this year where I no longer wanted to live anymore bc the pain was just so unbearable and I missed him so much. I’ve never felt so empty before & this deep pain that just never goes away.

Grief is an interesting thing. I thought it was linear and something that just got easier as time went on… and woah was I wrong.

To my fellow grievers - I feel your pain, whether it’s similar or not, the loss is there. I am always here for you - my DMs/texts are always open 🩵

And a reminder to everyone - please hug your loved ones so damn close, tell them you love them, express gratitude for them, and just spend that quality time with them. Life happens where it gets harder to see people, life gets busy… I get it, but you will never regret spending that time together. So cherish and spend it wisely please🩵🩵

PS: thank you dad for passing down your obsession with dogs. I miss watching dumb dog movies with you🐶

I freaking love women! Last week I went to see

I freaking love women!

Last week I went to see the Barbie movie (pic above of me & my mom☺️) and Taylor Swift. The vibe was just unmatched!

The Barbie movie was amazing! I loved all the meaning behind it and felt so empowering. I also loved seeing packs of girls all dressed in pink, walking around, eating dinner, taking pics, and seeing the movie. (And of course, all the men too!) And with Taylor, well, you know it was all sparkly, colorful, and beautiful!

Last week just made me so happy being a woman. I just love women. I love how amazing we are, how supportive, encouraging, and how much FUN we have together! Although it’s not international woman’s day, damn it - every day is international woman’s day! We’re the best 🥲 I just love all my ladies in my life & am so grateful to be surrounded + to know & look up to so many incredible people!

Most people just go to Salento when traveling south from Medellín. But I recommend traveling to Jardín too!

Jardín is such a beautiful and charming city.

It’s full of nature, tons of beautiful hikes, way less touristy, and so much to see and do! I fell in love with Jardín and all of its charm!

Here are some things you can do while there: (📌 for later!)

💦 Hike to a beautiful waterfall in a cave at Cueva Del Esplendor
🍃 Hike to another beautiful waterfall at Chorro Blanco
☕️ Have coffee and some treats with a beautiful view at Cafe Jardín
🚡 Take a cable car to see breathtaking views of Jardín (pictured here)
🐎 People watch & chill in the main square and watch caballeros/cowboys trot/dance? on their horses (so entertaining!!)
🍪 Get some delicious treats at Dulces del Jardín Dessert shop
🥙 Eat yummy delicious vegetarian/vegan food at @eljardindejardin and @consuladovegetal
